January 2019: ASA Presidential Dinner

Updated: Sep 17, 2019

Entering the new year we wanted to reconnect with the African student associations in the colleges and universities around the King county area. The importance of having a formal meeting with the president and vice presidents allowed us to introduce our 2019 plans and focus on how we can strategize with these organizations.

We gathered presidents and vice presidents from the University of Washington, Seattle University, and Seattle Central College. During this meeting, we strategized ways we could stay connected throughout the new year and initiated a format of communication between the associations and the African Youth Coalition.

The African Student Associations are key to the African Youth Coalition community. Being a part of an association we have noticed the leadership, passion and driven it has on African youth. We hope through African Youth Coalition we can provide these associations with connections and networks so they may continue to build and serve their student populations.
